She still knows me
I went to see my Godmother Tuesday. She was having a good day. I enter through the back door since that's the closest to the Alzheimer's area.
She was half-way down a long hallway when I walked up. As soon as she saw me, she came right to the door and tried to let me in.
I hung out for about 30 minutes. She tried to tell me lots, but I only got bits and pieces. We walked around for a while and then it was snack time. She was bound and determined she was going to eat the orange rind instead of the orange pulp. Once I got all of the fruit in her, I gave up and let her have a piece of rind. I mean, it's probably got good fiber or something, right?
When I told her that I needed to leave, she asked (in my translated version) where I was going. I told her that I was going to see the "other Gina" play softball. She said, "Oh, ok. Bye babeeeee."
